He began his violin studies at the age of six in the talent class of Prof. Mikhail Kuznetsov and Viktor Kuznetsov in Wroclaw. In 2005, he moved to Poznan to perfect his playing under the guidance of Professor Wojciech Malinski at the Secondary Music School and the Poznan Academy of Music, from which he graduated with honours in 2012. In 2016, he obtained a master's degree in chamber music at the Universitaet der Kuenste in Berlin in the class of the famous Artemis Quartet. In the same year, he graduated with the Diverso String Quartet from the elite International Artist Diploma at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, UK. In 2018 he received his doctoral degree from the K. Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław. Since October 2018, he has held the position of concertmaster of the Zabrze Philharmonic Orchestra. He currently combines this role with teaching, soloist and chamber music activities.
During his studies and masterclasses, he perfected his playing under the guidance of world-renowned pedagogues: Ida Haendel, Wanda Wiłkomirska, Maxim Vengerov, Tomasz Tomaszewski, Natascha Prischepenko, Alexander Sitkovetsky, Vineta Sareiko, Gregor Siegel, Pavel Fischer and Robert Szreder.
Marcin has been awarded and honoured at national competitions in Poznań, Wrocław, Olsztyn, Legnica and Zielona Góra. In 2011, by the decision of Maxim Vengerov, he qualified for the Polish representation at the 14th Henryk Wieniawski International Violin Competition in Poznań. As part of its activities, the Diverso String Quartet was awarded special prizes at the K. Szymanowski International Chamber Music Competition in Katowice and the L. van Beethoven Competition in Lusławice.
He is a multiple scholarship holder of the Mayor of the City of Wrocław, a winner of the "Young Poland 2015" scholarship programme, a scholarship holder of the Berlin edition of Yehudi Menuhin's "Live Music Now!" programme. In 2015 he was awarded the Jerzy Grotowski scholarship for the best doctoral student in Lower Silesia for his achievements in the arts.
As a soloist and chamber musician, he has given concerts at home and abroad: in Germany, France, Great Britain, the Czech Republic, Belgium, the Netherlands and Russia. He has performed in prestigious halls, including many times at the Kammermusiksall of the Berlin Philharmonic and the Berlin Cathedral. In 2018, the RecART label released his double CD album 'Violin in Miniature', containing 17 works recorded with pianist Katarzyna Kaczorowska. The artist also has an album of Polish string quartets, recorded in 2017 with the Diverso String Quartet. He plays an 18th-century instrument by Pietro Antonio Landolfi
